I had some metal plates at hand so I decieded to use them to make small A5 size drypints. I choose my images from my previously taken photographs.
I spent a good week practising my cross hatching technique and once I was pleased with it I made the drypints using my etching tool.
My first image was that of a cows snout/ mouth. The first few proofs turned out ok but I was not happy enough with the cross hatching so I worked back into the plate and re-imked it. This resulted in cleaner more clearer lines.
I also worked back into hem withcolour. My second image is that of the old door of the milking parlour.
